As a Physician Assistant you will perform duties such as: - Make independent decisions regarding the medical care required for each patient. - Obtain comprehensive and detailed health and medical history from the patient or a family member. - Perform assessment of patients' condition to determine correct care and treatment plan. - Refer complex medical problems to appropriate next level of specialty care or medical management. - Prescribe medication and controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants. - Submit orders for laboratory tests, X-rays, and other special studies required for diagnostics. - Teach patients and their family members about proper treatment and medical care.
