This position is part of the VBA MDE (Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations) program.

Schedule:  PT / 4 days per week

Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform Disability Assessments on Veterans; no treatment or prescribing of medication or hearing aids; exams are a comprehensive audio exam for assessing hearing loss or tinnitus
• Complete appropriate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and Medical Opinions (MO) through EMR during exam and provide necessary documentation to the VA
• Audiological testing includes, but is not limited to, puretone threshold testing, speech recognition testing, Strenger testing, acoustic immittance testing, and bone conduction testing
• All equipment necessary to perform duties will be available on-site with custom soundproof booths

Qualifications:

• Master or Doctorate degree from a program accredited by CAA or ACAE.
• Audiologist with licensure in good standing for State of practice.
• Preferred experience assessing Veterans.
