Duties: - Deliver advanced, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients ranging in age from neonate to 18 years. - Provide support to physicians during complex and potentially life-threatening procedures, including cardioversion and the insertion of invasive lines such as arterial, venous, and pulmonary artery catheters. - Prepare and administer high-risk medications as well as intravenous fluids, in support of initiating advanced cardiovascular life support interventions. - Assess patients cardiac output, vital signs, peripheral perfusion, and level of consciousness, and evaluate blood gas results, including arterial and mixed venous oxygen saturation. - Assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions based on patient responses and modify the care plan as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. - Design Family Nursing Care Plans to support critically ill patients and their families in achieving the highest possible level of physiological, sociological, and psychological. Performs other duties as assigned.
