As an Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Midwife) you will: - Provides independent preventive, therapeutic, and comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care - Collaborates with physicians regarding patient management, to include evaluating and revising therapeutic plans and managing high-risk, unstable, or extremely complex patients, including the intrapartum setting within scope of practice. - Serves as project lead or associate in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of obstetrics/gynecology healthcare. - Perform and/or request laboratory, radiologic and other diagnostic and screening tests. - Independently manages labor and childbirth in accordance with clinical privileges. - Oversees compliance/adherence with the preventive health care needs of all patients visiting the obstetrics/gynecology clinic. - Provides teaching to patients and their families regarding disease processes and diagnostic tests. - Provides teaching and oversight to family practice residents, PA and NP students.
