As a Medical Instrument Tech (Ultrasound) you will: Duties - Performs a wide variety of complex ultrasound examinations of human patients to aid in the diagnosis of disease or injury. - Explains the ultrasound examining process to the patient. - Selects, sets up, adjusts, and operates ultrasound equipment. - Extend and/or modifies the procedure to ensure full and accurate information. - Trains radiologists, physician assistants, students, and other personnel in ultrasound principles, procedures, capabilities, techniques and equipment. - Perform operator level maintenance and care of equipment. - The ability to take backup call.
