As a Medical Instrument Technician (Polysomnography)you will: - Conducts polysomnograms and CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) trials on patients in the sleep laboratory. - Operates polysomnographic recording instruments to obtain an electroencephalographic record of a patient's sleep. - Prepares the patient for tests by reassuring the patient, providing basic education concerning the nature of the testing, allaying fears, or misconceptions. - Performs operator maintenance of all sleep laboratory equipment and requests maintenance on equipment that he/she cannot maintain as needed.
