- Prepare and distribute medical supplies and equipment used in all areas of the hospital - Track sterilization methods and cycles using an automated system in order to monitor expiration dates of stock. - Operate ultrasonic cleaners and/or washer-sterilizers in order to properly clean/sterilize all types of medical instruments. - Produce computer generated pick-tickets and preference cards in order to prepare for a surgical or healthcare procedure. - Prepare individual surgical case carts with required surgical instrumentation for scheduled and emergent operative procedures. - Disassemble and reassemble equipment and complex instrumentation in order to conduct proper decontamination. - Examine items and sets to be cleaned in order to determine completeness, damage or imperfections before use by a medical team. - Performs other duties as assigned.
