About the Position:This position is located with the Department of Medicine, Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. - A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. - Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. - Shift Detail: 0730 - 1600, with a rotational late shift of 0900 - 1730. There is also a rotational on-call 24/7 scheduleDuties - Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as a service to physicians who directly supervise the procedures. - Train cardiovascular technicians, nurses, students and physicians in all phases of radiographic operations related to the performance of cardiac catheterizations. - Maintain and calibrate equipment - conducting regular quality control checks of cardiovascular equipment and supplies. - Initiate preparation for Physician-directed procedures - maintaining equipment and supplies throughout procedure and at conclusion to ensure aseptic techniques are followed.
