A healthcare system in Hartford County is currently seeking a Medical Director for a promising position with their Geriatric Psychiatry Department.

About the Opportunity:

• Setting: Hospital based
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business
• Call: One weekend every 4-5 weeks

Responsibilities:

The Geriatric Psychiatry Medical Director will be responsible for:

• Providing education and leadership to all services in the unit
• Attending unit and hospital meetings
• Dealing with program issues and staff training
• Marketing the program
• Practicing clinically within the department
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted CT medical license
• Fellowship trained in Geriatric Psychiatry
• Board Eligible / Certified in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry (MD/DO)
