About El Paso Children's Hospital Emergency Department

• Annual patient volume of 27,000
• 13-bed ED
• EMR: Cerner
• CLEO dictation for efficient, accurate clinical documentation, reducing administrative responsibility and supporting real-time patient care
• 24 hours of physician coverage
• 12-24 hours of APC coverage

Position Requirements

• PEM board certification is primarily offered through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM); physicians must be certified in either pediatrics or EM, complete an ACGME-accredited fellowship, and pass the combined specialty exam
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
• Texas medical license and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start date
