An academic and community-based medical center is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Newark, New Jersey. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient coverage, outpatient clinic care, and call responsibilities within a collaborative pediatric cardiac care program.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday through Friday; alternating weekly between inpatient service with call coverage and outpatient clinic
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient clinic

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pediatric cardiology care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with cardiac conditions
• Participate in inpatient rounding, consultative services, and clinic follow-up visits
• Respond to call coverage needs as assigned
• Interpret and manage pediatric cardiac diagnostic studies and perform echocardiograms when needed

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology
• Active New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain one
• Experience managing pediatric cardiac conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Comfort with call coverage

Desired Skills:

• Experience with pediatric echocardiography
• Experience documenting in Epic EMR
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary pediatric care teams
