Requested Date of Coverage and Schedule: July 3 July 6, 2026
Schedule Details: 24-hour call coverage (nights & weekends included), 1:3 shared call schedule. Not required to remain onsite but must respond within 30 minutes.
Clinical Details:
Procedures: C-sections, vaginal deliveries, hysterectomies, circumcisions, postpartum tubal ligations, D&C, laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy
Certifications Needed: BLS, NRP (no exceptions)
Patient Population/Case Load: Adult OB/GYN population; ~6 inpatient census/day with 23 OB checks/day
Case Mix: 3040 deliveries/month (~12/day), ~14 GYN surgeries/month
Staff and Support:
Support Staff: 2 Physicians, 4 Nurses
Anesthesia: 24/7 in-house/on-call
Radiology: 24/7 support
Hospitalist Program: 24/7 (Med-Peds)
Specialty Support: Cardiology (5 days/week), Ortho (4 days/week), Psychiatry, Tele-Critical Care
Midwives for Deliveries: Not specified
EMR:
EPIC (HealthSpan)
Licensing & Privileging:
Willing to License: No Active North Carolina License Required
DEA: Required (NC DEA)
Estimated Privileging Timeline: TBD
Additional Notes:
- Provider must arrive prior to first call shift for orientation
- No ICU/critical care procedures required
- Not responsible for running code
