Opportunity to provide OB hospital / laborist shifts in L&D -- 24-hour in-house shifts with compensation of $3,600 per shift worked (no RVUs). Obstetrical care can be combined into one FTE or the laborist shifts can be in addition to the gyn/surg FTE as a true-extra shift earning opportunity. NOTE: physicians with hospital obstetrical privileges will participate in the emergency OB back-up call rotation regardless of whether they opt to provide 24-hour laborist shifts. It is rare that the emergency backup OB is activated but is an important component to ensuring adequate surgical backup coverage for our labor & delivery program.
