Hospitalists needed in South Carolina 2024

Qualifications:

Assignment Details:

2 hospitalists are onsite every day from 7 am – 7 pm
1 of the Hospitalists will take call from 7 pm – 7 am – NOT IN HOUSE (call is alternated each night between the 2 day hospitalists)
Typical day for Physician includes:
- Clocking in at or before 7am
- On Monday, get patient handoff, round on patients, go to huddle to 10:00 am, complete charting, admissions, etc.
- If on call, be prepared to answer call from 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
EMR- EPIC
Nurse Practitioner available on an intermittent schedule, and there are also residents in the facility during the day shift and intermittently during call shift. Depending on the schechedule, the residents will take call at night and refer to Physician if needed, but again this is not a guarantee every night.
Call is generally light, if the np or resident is taking the night then call is very light
Open ICU
Average number of inpatients rounded on per day: 15 patients per Hospitalist (average); however, this can fluctuate.
Average number of admissions per day – 6 total, but this can fluctuate
Procedures required: Hospitalists conduct stress tests. Also, it would be great if the provider could do chest tubes, central lines, etc
May see an occasional pediatric patient, but mainly will be adults.

January 1 – January 7 (call on the 2nd, 4th, and 6th)

January 9 – 14 (call on the 9th,11th, and 13th)

January 15th – January 21st (call on the 15th, 17th, 19th, and 21st)

January 23 – 28 (call on the 24th, 26th, and 28th)

January 29th – February 4th (call on the 30th, 1st, and 3rd)

February 5th – February 11th (call on the 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th)

February 12th – February 18th (call on the 12th, 14th, 16th, and 18th)

2 shifts needed February 19th – February 25th (call is alternated, and will need to be covered the full week)

2 shifts needed March 5th – March 11th (call is alternated, and will need to be covered the full week)

March 12th – March 18th (call on the 12th, 14th, 16th, and 18th)

March 19th – March 25th ( call on the 19th, 21st, 23rd, and 25th)

March 26th – March 31st ( call on the 27th, 29th, and 31st)
