Job Description
A healthcare system in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Physician, with an Internal Medicine background, for a great Hospitalist / Nocturnist opportunity with their team.
About the Opportunity
- Location: Manhattan
- Specialty: Internal Medicine
- Schedule: 7 on 7 off, Days or Nights
Responsibilities:
- Admitting patients to the hospital from the emergency department or transferring them from other facilities
- Providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients throughout the night, including performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans
- Managing critically ill patients, including those in the intensive care unit (ICU). They may perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, or chest tube insertion as needed
- Communicating with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team to provide updates on patient status, discuss treatment plans, and address any concerns or questions
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment interventions, and care plans in the medical record
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified in Internal Medicine
