Hospitalist Physician in Austin, TX TeamHealth has an exciting new nocturnist hospitalist opening in South Austin, Texas. We are looking for a dedicated clinician who is board eligible/board certified in internal medicine or family medicine, to work within our established program between TeamHealth and HCA. St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a Level II trauma designated facility with 368 total beds, an open ICU with a fully staffed intensivist program. During the day shift (7am-7pm) there are a total of 2 APCs and 9 day-time physicians; 8 are rounding physicians with 1 admitter daily from (8am-8pm). Our day rounding team will care for 22 encounters daily, while our admitting team will average 15-16 total admissions. During the night shift we have 2 nocturnist physicians and 1 APC (7pm-7am) averaging 20-23 total admissions plus cross coverage. Clinicians will respond to their own patients when a code is called and assist the rapid response team as needed. The current EMR at all St. David's locations is Meditech. TeamHealth has a new day shift position opening at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas, the flagship program within the St. David's Health System. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule with shifts from 7am-7pm, 10pm-10am, and 7pm-7am. St. David's Medical Center is an acute care facility that has 426 beds and a 64-bed rehab. During the day shift (7am-7pm) there are a total of 8 physicians working; 7 rounding physicians seeing 20-22 patients and 1 admitter physician with 1 dedicated APC handling an average of 16 admissions, 1 swing physician and 1 APC (10am-10pm), who handles 10-12 admissions. At night (7pm-7am), we have 1 nocturnist physician and 1 APC, who handle roughly 12-15 admissions + 160-180 cross coverage beds. There is a newly formed GME IM residency program that will have physicians assisting on admissions in both the day and nighttime capacity. Day Hospitalist Physician in Austin, TX TeamHealth has a full-time, day shift hospitalist opening at St. David's South Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This facility has 368-bed with a full specialty support in place and is staffed with 9 daytime physicians with 2 APCs during the day and 2 nocturnist physicians and 1 APC at night. The average daily census per daytime clinician is 22 patients; the daytime admitter will see 15-16 admissions on average, and nocturnist shift averages 20-23 admits at night. We work off a 7-on, 7-off schedule and procedures are not required. St. David's South Austin Medical Center has a nationally recognized cardiac program with a level II ED program; along with full pulmonary/critical care support with an open ICU.
