Locums Red Bluff, California, Hematology/Oncology OpeningClinical Role:

- Start Date: Dec 21, 2024, through Jan 5, 2025
- Jan 16, 2025, FT every day for 6 months
- Schedule: M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call then 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun
- Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider. No hospital consults required with low volume remote call. MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions. No oncology inpatient services at local hospital
- Setting: Outpatient clinic
- FTE: 1.0 FTE
- Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
- Required Procedures: N/A. Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider
- EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs.
- Reason for Coverage: Locums one year is up
- 15-21 patients Mon-Thurs with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule
- 10 patients per day, 1-2 being new
- Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
- 7 infusion chairs
- Board Certification Oncology and Hematology preferred. Will consider Board Eligible. Can accept providers boarded in Oncology or Hematology
- Active CA License Required
- Medical Oncology Fellowship - Required
- CA DEA, BLS, ACLS - Required during credentialing
