We are seeking Hematology/Oncology physicians for an ongoing locum opportunity at a state-of-the-art cancer center in Joplin, Missouri. This is an excellent long-term assignment offering strong clinical support, light call, and access to cutting-edge oncology technology.

• Start Date: April 1, 2026

• Duration: Ongoing

• Providers Needed: 2

• Availability Requirement: Minimum of 2 weeks per month

• Strong Preference: Provider able to cover 4 weeks per month (no job sharing for partial schedules)

• Clinic: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• Flexibility: May include a half-day off during the week (MondayThursday)

• Call:

  • Light beeper call

  • Some weekday evenings

  • Weekend hospital call only

  • Call Ratio: 1:3

  • Response Time: 15 minutes

  • Night Call Census: 12 patients

• Hospital-based outpatient oncology clinic

• Hospitalist team admits new patients

• Assigned & unassigned patient mix

• Admissions required

• Clinic Patients: 1825 per shift

• Average Clinic Census: 1523 patients per day

• Phone Consults: 03 per shift

• Beds in Facility: Less than 10

• Primarily Medical Oncology and Hematology (approx. 60/40 split)

• Consults and follow-ups

• Bone marrow biopsy/transplant experience preferred (can be flexible)

• 2 full-time physicians

• 2 full-time APPs

• Strong ancillary and hospitalist support
