Hematology - Oncology Physician
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10;On Call Pay Rate: $388.00 - $420.00

This facility is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Full-time need; Monday through Friday clinic hours 8:00 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-5:00 PM (8 guaranteed hours per day). Weeknight beeper call and twenty-four-hour weekend beeper call. Provider is on call 1 out of every 3 weeks. Telephone response only; no on-site callback required.
• Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient; oncology clinic attached to chemotherapy treatment center and hospital. Approximately 12-15 patients per shift.
• Type of cases and required procedures: Hematology and Oncology cases. Two years of inpatient case logs are required for privileges. Two years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty required.
• Credentialing timeframe: Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean file, allowing a potential September start. Active license required. Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support; Drug Enforcement Administration registration required.
• Licensure required: Active California medical license required. Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency.
