Job Description

A health services network in Orange County is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterologist to join their team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Setting: Outpatient
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday standard business hours
  • Call Schedule: Rotated call

Responsibilities:

The Advanced Endo Gastroenterologist will:

  • Evaluate patients with digestive system symptoms, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, and rectal bleeding
  • Perform physical exams, review medical history, and order diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, or endoscopic procedures, to diagnose gastrointestinal disorders
  • Develop treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis and severity of the condition
  • Prescribe medication, lifestyle changes, or recommend surgical interventions, such as endoscopic procedures or abdominal surgeries, to manage the patient's symptoms and improve their quality of life
  • Monitor the progress of their patients and adjust treatment plans, as needed
  • Provide follow-up care, such as surveillance colonoscopies, to prevent disease recurrence or detect new conditions
  • Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and ways to prevent future digestive system problems
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
  • Board Eligible / Certified in Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterology
