Family Medicine Job Description & Requirements Family Medicine StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $255000.00 - $255000.00 Academic, no-call, shift-based outpatient practice with hospital support and a predictable schedule. University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join a new 24/7 standalone primary care clinic on its Las Vegas medical campus. The practice is designed around a true primary care model, combining scheduled appointments, walk-in access, preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute treatment. This is an excellent fit for a physician who values the resources and academic environment of a major medical center but wants the consistency of an outpatient practice without traditional call responsibilities. No call Predictable, set schedule with four-day work blocks Dedicated night schedule: 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. One practice location Primarily outpatient, shift-based practice 20-minute scheduled appointments Dedicated MA support to assist with inbox management Team-based coverage for walk-in patients Major procedures referred to the nearby Emergency Department Opportunity for involvement with resident education New clinic with 14 exam rooms, X-ray, triage space, transfer bay, and telehealth capabilities A New Model for Primary Care in Las Vegas: The clinic is being developed as UMC's newest ambulatory site and is designed to expand access to primary care while providing another option for patients who might otherwise seek lower-acuity care in the Emergency Department. The site will operate 24/7 and will become UMC's 12th clinic, joining an ambulatory network of more than 100 providers. Live and Practice in Las Vegas: Las Vegas offers much more than the resort corridor. Physicians can choose from established communities including Summerlin and Henderson, while enjoying convenient access to Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston, Lake Mead, and regional destinations including Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. Nevada also has no state individual income tax. Candidate Qualifications: Candidates must be board certified or board eligible and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Nevada medical license.
