High-Volume Level II Trauma Center | 65,000 Annual Visits | 3-Month Assignment
Opportunity Overview:A busy Level II Trauma Center in Independence, Missouri is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for an immediate locum assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for EM-trained providers who thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with strong APP and physician coverage.
Position Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 Months
Shift Structure:
60 hours/day of physician coverage (10-hour shifts)
58 hours/day of APP coverage (MonFri)
48 hours/day of APP coverage (SatSun)
Annual Volume: 65,000 ED visits
Facility: 42-bed Emergency Department
Trauma Level: II
Rapid Care Unit: Open 24/7
Requirements:
Board Certified / Board Eligible ABEM or AOBEM
Emergency Medicine Residency Trained Required
ATLS, ACLS, and PALS Must be active at submission
Active Missouri License or ability to obtain
Experience in busy, high-acuity ER environments Required
