As a Physician Assistant (Emergency Medicine) you will perform duties such as: - Evaluate the total health care needs of patients and develop plans to meet the patients' needs. - Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients and their family members regarding treatment and medical care. - Work collaboratively with the physician team in patient evaluation, management, and revision of therapeutic plans for assigned patients. - Provide educational management to patients and their families regarding disease processes and diagnostic tests. - Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries within the health clinic. - Record entries into patients records to include history and exam findings, results of laboratory tests, X-rays, diagnoses, treatment plans, drugs dispensed or administered in accordance with approved protocols. - Perform routine procedures such as EKG testing, suturing, incision and drainage for assigned patients.
