ABEM Certification Required
Choose between multiple sites in Delaware including a small stand alone EM site
14 Ten Hour Shifts per month, then $50 per hour for each shift over 15 shifts

  • Full time is 144 hours/month (1728 hours/year)
  • Scheduling:
    • Holidays split & switch every year (4 one year, 3 the other);
    • It is a first come, first serve for time off schedule (no seniority); 5 people guaranteed off per day (physician or APC); can still ask for other days off when making schedule requests
    • You will cover half the weekends a month as needed (can split weekends); we keep a log of this for equity
    • EPIC EMR/Dragon dictation; Scribes all physician shifts
  • Rates will vary by location and volume


1) MILFORD

  • 33,000 volumes (20% peds, 18% over 64)
  • Level 3 trauma center
  • 30 hours ED physician coverage daily (10-hour shifts)
  • 30 hours of APC coverage daily (10-hour shifts)
  • Primary stroke center; neurohospitalists do telemedicine during off hours
  • EMSC Pediatric Level III facility
  • Anesthesia in-house 24/7
  • OB ED (over 16 weeks)
  • Hospitalists 24/7 (do 100% medical admissions)
  • 10 bed MICU with intensivists
  • Psych suite (2 beds) with; just do medical clearance Array telepsych; just do medical clearance
  • EPIC EMR/Dragon dictation; Scribes all physician shifts
  • All radiology studies 24/7; no permission needed

2) DOVER
  • 48,000 volumes (18% peds, 22% over 64)
  • Level 3 trauma center
  • 54 hours ED physician coverage weekdays, 47 hours ED physician coverage weekends; 9/10-hour shifts
  • 40 hours of APC coverage daily (10 hours a day as triage APC 11a-9p)
  • Primary stroke center; neurohospitalists do telemedicine during off hours
  • EMSC Pediatric Level II facility
  • Anesthesia in-house 24/7
  • Peds hospitalists 24/7 (all peds at Kent Campus); Level 2 NICU with in-house NICU attending
  • Hospitalists 24/7 (do all admissions except 8 attendings during day, 100% admissions at night)
  • Neuro-ICU, cardiac-ICU, MICU with intensivists
  • Neurosurgery 24/7 (2 neurosurgeons)
  • 3 cath labs, TAVR's, 100% STEMI's to cath lab
  • Psych suite (6 beds) with Array telepsych; just do medical clearance
  • All radiology studies 24/7; no permission needed COMPENSATION
  • Call for Rates by location and Benefits details
  • RVU incentive works to physician's advantage
  • Start /Retention Bonus is $20,000; Half at start
  • PTO i72 hours for years 1-4, at year 5 it increases to 96 hrs;
  • CME is $5k

  • 401k with match of 3% (50% of first 6%).
