A hospital in Lehi, UT is seeking Board-Certified Interventional Cardiology coverage for 24-hour STEMI call over the holiday period. Ideal for physicians seeking a focused, short-term opportunity with inpatient and emergency call responsibilities.

Assignment Overview:

• Dates: December 24 (7:00 AM) January 3 (7:00 AM)

• Shift: 24-hour call (7a7a)

• Setting: Inpatient, Emergency Department, Call

• Trauma Level: IV

• Reason for Coverage: Gap in STEMI call schedule

• Credentialing Timeframe: 23 weeks

Procedures Required:

• Left and right heart catheterizations

• Coronary angioplasty and stents

• Balloon pump/Impella

• TEE

• Pacemakers

• STEMI + general cardiology call

• No surgical backup available

Support Staff Includes:

• Echo Tech

• RN

• Lab, X-ray, and Nuclear Techs

Volume Expectations:

• ~20 caths/month

• 58 are interventional

• ~5 STEMI cases/month (~60/year)

EMR: EPIC

• Required Training: Completion of EPIC modules and testing prior to virtual training Modules, EUPA test, and PPL must be completed 1 week before start

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified Interventional Cardiology

• UT License Highly Preferred

• Active BLS & DEA Required DEA must be retained throughout the entire assignment
