A healthcare network on Long Island is seeking a new Medical Director - Psychiatry for a Part-time opportunity at one of their outpatient facilities in Suffolk County LI.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Part-time
• Hours: 15 hours per week
• Setting: Outpatient behavioral health

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat patients within the psychiatry specialty area
• Provide direct psychiatric care and evidence-based medication management
• Supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• Participate in planning, developing, and improving behavioral health services
• Maintain clinical documentation, coordinate referrals, and support follow-up care

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree, such as an MD or DO
• Board certification in Adult Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry
• Active buprenorphine license, or eligibility to obtain it
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Outpatient Behavioral Health
• Familiarity with addiction Treatment
• Experience supervising clinical providers
• Background in Quality Improvement, Peer Review, or Multidisciplinary Care Planning
