Major Duties: - Evaluate imaging test results for the purposes of diagnosis, patient care, research and education. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team consisting of direct and indirect patient care professionals to include diagnostic imaging staff, x-ray technicians, laboratory staff, and referring clinical team and providers. - Evaluate imaging results and consult with the interdisciplinary clinical and research staff regarding findings, to assist and direct clinical care plans, and achieve clinical and research objectives. - Consult with the requesting clinical provider before a procedure is done, deciding on the procedure and ensuring the minimization of the invasion of the patient. - Provide consultation, report of the radiologic diagnostic examination, delivering interpretation of the study and the diagnosis of the radiographic examination to the clinician. - Provide training in the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology to Radiology residents, other Department physicians and the medical students. - Assist with formulation of plans and procedures for assigned services; coordinate radiological services with other medical activities - Performs other duties as assigned.
