• 7 on/off schedule -- days, nights, and swing shifts available
• Days avg 18 - 20 pts; nights avg 6 - 7 admits with cross cover
• Swing shift avg 7 - 9 admits per shift
• Total inpatient volume approx 330 - 360 pts -- 53 new admits daily
• Inpatient hospital setting with step-down unit
• Closed ICU -- no procedures required
• HM responds to codes on own patients only
