• Call only -- beeper call, 30-minute response time, 1-in-3 call ratio
• Avg. 3 phone consults, 3 patients seen, 3 admissions per 24-hour call
• Inpatient setting -- coverage for unassigned patients
• Ventilation management required -- newborn and pediatric
• Intubation (ETT/NT) required -- newborn and pediatric patients
• X-ray and EKG interpretation required
• Additional skills: exchange transfusion, suturing, circumcision, swallow studies
