The facility operates as part of a large health system providing comprehensive gastroenterology services with dedicated endoscopy laboratory and outpatient clinic capabilities. The health system maintains modern gastroenterology equipment and utilizes EPIC EMR for integrated patient care coordination and clinical documentation.

The state features natural attractions including Falls Park on the Reedy and seasonal farm adventures, providing options for both outdoor recreation and family activities throughout the year.

The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology coverage including 24-hour hospital call responsibilities, scheduled endoscopic procedures, and clinic consultations. The clinician will manage weekly assignments covering hospital call, performing scheduled procedures in the endoscopy laboratory, answering consultations, and providing 2-3 half-day clinic sessions. Clinic operations include seeing 3 patients per hour from 8:00 AM to 11:20 AM with support from nursing staff and advanced practice providers. The position requires managing 8 scheduled procedures per half-day endoscopy block including EGD, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy with comprehensive documentation in EPIC EMR system.

• Case Load/PPD:  8 cases per half day
• Support Staff:  1 RN, 1 CRNA, 1 tech for Endo support, 1 PA, 1 LPN or MA for clinic, 1 NP for inpatient consult support Monday-Friday 7am-1pm
