As a Physician(Family Medicine), you will: Duties - Serves as a technical authority in their area of expertise and works under administrative and policy direction of the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Port Hueneme Department Head within Medical Homeport. - Examine patients; determine need for and orders laboratory test, x-rays and other procedures necessary to complete medical facts on the case. - Perform administrative functions to include performing military physical examinations and medical evaluation boards. - Complete medical work-up as pertinent to the type of examination. - Provide professional guidance to military and civilian medical personnel assigned to the clinic. - Perform administrative duties inherent to medical center and clinical activities. - Attend and participate in clinical and administrative staff meetings
