Duties - Assist with all biopsy procedures including endoscopic biopsies, polypectomies, rectal biopsies, and liver biopsies. - Responsible for assistance to physicians during specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and other established safety measures to prevent patient infection and cross-contamination. - Assure charts and X-rays are available for procedures and administers appropriate pre-medications orally or intramuscularly. - Perform in-service orientation and teaching of ward personnel and patient teaching in accordance with clinic and hospital policies and procedures.
