- Comfortable with 7a7a coverage (day rounding with night/weekend call)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
- Active Nebraska license (IMLC accepted)
- Coverage Reason: Provider vacation
- Setting: Acute inpatient rehab unit within an acute care hospital
- Unit Size: 13 beds
- EMR: Epic
- Coverage Dates: April 1 April 29
- Shift: 7a7a
- Call: Night and weekend call
- Typically telephone-only
- Rare need to return onsite after hours
- Primary provider for inpatient rehab patients
- Daily inpatient rounding only (no clinic responsibilities)
- Ability to consult hospital medicine for medical management as needed
- Average volume:
- 12 admissions per day
- 12 discharges per day
- Inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Facility accepts most rehab-appropriate patients
- Excludes: High spinal cord injury patients requiring ventilator support
- No procedures required
- Inpatient hospital support staff available
