Locum-to-Perm General Surgery Opportunity -Harker Heights, Texas

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon for a locum-to-permanent opportunity in Harker Heights, Texas. This is a unique alternating-month call schedule with in-house coverage at a Trauma Level IV facility, offering consistency, strong clinical support, and the potential for long-term placement.

  • Duration: Ongoing need with locum-to-perm potential

Schedule Structure (Alternating Months)
  • Month 1:

    • 10 consecutive days of call

    • Covers two weekends and the week in between

    • Example: Friday night start (2/13/26) through Tuesday morning (2/23/26)

  • Month 2:

    • Extended weekend coverage

    • Arrive Thursday or Friday night

    • Coverage runs through Tuesday morning

Clinical Requirements
  • Ability to perform EGDs and colonoscopies strongly preferred

  • ERCP not required

  • Fellowship training required

  • Active Texas medical license required
