A hospital-based practice in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage. This opportunity includes OR, ICU, and patient rounding across the ER and hospital floors, with flexible coverage and a supportive team environment.

Dates of Coverage:FebruaryMarch for a 36 month assignment, with potential extension into 2026 or permanent hire

Reason for Coverage:Leave of absence and provider departure

Practice Setting:Hospital-based, all inpatientOR, ICU, and rounding of patients in ER and floors

Schedule:MondayFriday, 6:45 AM 5:00 PMNight and weekend call TBD, approximately 78 calls per monthCall ratio: 3 providers sharing call

Case Load:Average of 2 cases per dayTrauma Level I designationAnnual ER volume: 85,000 patientsNumber of operating rooms: 3

Patient Population:Adult and geriatric
