About the Clinician's Workday

Candidates must hold an active North Carolina medical license, NC DEA, and be board certified. The role includes 14 twelve-hour shifts per month, with day shifts running 7:00 a.m-5:30 p.m. and night shifts 5:30 p.m.-7:00 a.m.; nights, weekends, and holidays are required, and 24-hour shifts are optional. Providers share a daily census of approximately 35 patients. Candidates must have ATLS and be proficient in tube thoracostomy and central venous catheter placement, with arterial line experience preferred. Night shifts have an available call room. Trauma staffing includes attending surgeons, APPs, residents, and trauma nurse leads, with coverage varying between day and night. The site uses Cerner PowerChart.
