Locums Asheville, North Carolina, Trauma Surgery Opening

Dates Needed:January 1, 2026 March 31, 2026

Schedule & Clinical Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (10.5 hours)

• Night shift: 5:30 PM 7:00 AM (13.5 hours)

• Nights, weekends, and holidays required

• 24-hour shifts available but not required

• Approximately 14 shifts per month

• Patients per day: 35, shared among covering providers

Procedures & Skills Required

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

• Tube thoracostomy

• Central venous catheter placement

• Arterial line placement preferred

Support Staff & Facility Info

• Trauma coverage includes: attending surgeons, APPs, residents, trauma nurse leads

• EMR: Cerner Power Chart

• Trauma department details: ICU, floor, ED coverage with appropriate staffing

Requirements

• Board Certified in Trauma Surgery Required

• Active NC License Required

• Active NC DEA Required
