- Active Ohio Medical License REQUIRED
- BLS REQUIRED
- ACLS Preferred (especially for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy support)
- Provide comprehensive wound care management, including:
- Treating skin reactions & preventing skin breakdown
- Managing vascular, pressure, and diabetic ulcers
- Initiating preventive measures
- Applying/overseeing topical therapies
- Assessing & treating draining wounds and fistulae
- Educating patients & caregivers on wound care and ulcer prevention
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) supervision
- Acute wounds (all healing phases)
- Surgical wounds (intentional operative wounds)
- Traumatic wounds (scrapes, punctures, tears, burns)
- Non-healing surgical wounds
- Ulcers: arterial, pressure, venous, diabetic
- Chronic venous insufficiency
- Pilonidal cysts
- Gangrene
- Radiation injury
- Burns
- Bioengineered skin products
- Debridement
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
- Incision & drainage
- Negative pressure wound therapy (wound VAC)
- Post-surgical incision management
- Skin grafting
- Unna boot
- Total contact casting
