Locums Cardiac Anesthesiologist | Galloway, New JerseyAvailabilityStart Date: January 2, 2026Coverage Dates: January 2026 TBDMust be available a minimum of 1-2 weeks per monthReason for Coverage: Open position; hiring for permanent providerPosition Type: Locum or Locum-to-PermPractice Setting: Hospital-basedDocumentation System: CernerTrauma Level: Level IIScheduleShift Options: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AMWeekend and night call available but not requiredSchedule varies based on surgical volume and hospital needsIncludes weekday, night call, and weekend call coverageCall schedule and ratio TBDLicensure and Certification Requirements
  • Active New Jersey Medical License Required (must be active at start; no time for licensing)
  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology Required
  • ACLS and BLS Required
  • Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia Preferred
  • Experience with Cerner EMR Preferred
Clinical RequirementsProcedures (Required):
  • General surgical cases (adult)
  • IV regional, plexus, spinal, and regional anesthesia
  • Local infiltration
  • Open heart anesthesia
  • Thoracic cases (except open heart)
  • Complex vascular cases (except open heart)
  • Ventilation management
Line Insertions (Required):
  • TEE
  • PA catheter
  • Arterial line
  • Central line
Supervision:
  • Required to supervise CRNAs
Experience Required:
  • Proficiency in open heart, thoracic (nonopen heart), and complex vascular anesthesia
  • Skilled in TEE, PA catheter, arterial line, and central line insertion
  • Prior CRNA supervision experience
