A 170-provider multispecialty group in southeast Massachusetts is adding a Hospitalist. In addition to 40 Primary Care physicians, who represent a wide variety of medical and surgical specialists. They pride themselves on excellent training, extensive experience, and careful attention to evidence-based and cost-effective care.

About the Opportunity:

• Team of 26 hospitalists admits patients to 2 community hospitals, 350 beds, and a Brown University Hospital with 185 beds
• ICU admissions by the Hospitalists are rare, with no invasive procedures, intubations, or ICU management required
• There is no major trauma
• Hospitalists work 7-on and 7-off, assigned to either of the hospitals for their week "block".
• There is a 12-hour rounding day shift (7 am - 7 pm) and an admitting ?swing? shift (1 pm - 10 pm), and candidates must be willing to accept assignment to either shift.
• There are no required overnight shifts.
• Average rounding load of 16-18, with 2-7 admissions on the admitting swing shift.
• Staff 2 nearby hospitals, but only assigned to one for the week.
• For those Hospitalists who desire, opportunities may exist for additional shifts.
• Significant emphasis is placed on patient satisfaction, teamwork, and efficient care
• Physician-owned group, stable and profitable for nearly 30 years
