Locums - A well-respected hospital system in western Kentucky has an ongoing need for a General Surgeon to assist with 24-hour call coverage. 

• Board Certified General Surgeon (ABOS)
• Start November 2025- ongoing (approximately 1 week per month beginning in January 2026)
• 24-hr call coverage (7a-7a) for hospital and ED surgical consults
• Current Coverage Dates: 11/8-11/16, 11/24-11/28, 12/8-12/14, 12/22-12/28
• Average 1-3 surgical cases/day and 2-4 consults/day
• All ages (Pediatric cases limited to appendectomy, skin, and soft tissue at physician's discretion)
• Procedures required: General surgical cases (adult and minor trauma), Central line insertion, Chest tube insertion, Vascular access devices, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Colon/small bowel procedures
• Robotics available for certified providers; May assist with ICU patient care as needed
• Full surgical support team including CSTs, RNFAs, and first assists
• EMR Epic
• Active KY license, DEA, BLS, and recent case logs required
