• Mix of 12-hour admit shifts (12 pm - 12 am, 2 pm - 2 am) and night shifts (7 pm - 7 am)
• Patient load: 16 - 20 patients per day -- night admits 6 - 8 patients
• Hospitalist inpatient coverage at medical center
