Job Description

Just one hour north of Austin and 30 minutes south of Waco, Texas, Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is looking for a part-time emergency medicine (EM) physician to join the team. This role offers the flexibility to live in Austin, Waco, or anywhere in between while practicing meaningful, fast-paced emergency medicine in Central Texas.

Emergency Department Snapshot
  • 17-bed emergency department with designated fast track
  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center
  • Approximately 42,000 annual ED visits
  • EPIC EMR
  • Average ~2 patients per physician hour

Coverage and Schedule
  • 10-hour physician shifts
  • 40 hours of physician coverage daily
  • 40 hours of APC (NP/PA) coverage daily
  • Experienced APC support and along with all ABEM physicians

Compensation and Benefits
  • W2 employee position
  • High flat hourly rate
