Job Description

Locums OB Hospitalist San Antonio, TXAvailability

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Shift Options: 12- or 24-hour shifts (currently 24-hour preferred)

Clinical Role & Responsibilities

Provide OB Hospitalist coverage with GYN responsibilities

Circumcisions not required

First Assist: Required (support available)

Backup Duties:

Occasional backup to Family Practice with OB

OB/GYN ED call backup available

No backup required for midwives

Cross-credentialing across facilities

Facility Details

Location: San Antonio, Texas

NICU Level: IV (60 beds)

Maternal Designation: Level II

Residency Program: Family Practice OB

In-house anesthesia available

MFM onsite

Volume & Patient Load

Total Hospital Deliveries: Approximately 108 per month

Estimated Deliveries (Hospitalist): 1015 per month

Daily Patient Encounters: 68 per shift (including OBED)

Licenses & Certifications

Required:

Texas Medical License

Active DEA

Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN

Current ACLS, BLS, NRP
