Family Medicine Physician

Maryland

Compensation: By Contract

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate for high-quality medical care with the Chief Medical Officer and support staff.
  • Manage a diverse patient panel, addressing various medical needs.
  • Provide primary care in the outpatient setting and support patient referrals.
  • Cooperate in meaningful peer review processes, meeting quality measures.
  • Work with leadership to fulfill mission and strategic goals.
  • Correspond promptly for team-based, patient-centered care.
  • Attend Provider Meetings, Town Hall meetings, and fulfill committee and team responsibilities.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote services.
  • Work comprehensively with staff in patient treatment processes.
  • Assist in pursuing grants for center expansion.
  • Comply with clinical policies, procedures, and established medical care standards.
  • Participate in programs promoting quality, team-based care.
  • Ensure timely completion of charts, patient care documentation, and address communications.
  • Provide excellent patient-centered customer service with empathy.
  • Uphold the Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in primary care.
  • Understanding of clinic operations and collaboration.
  • Maryland-licensed with a minimum of two years in primary care.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective relationships with professionals, patients, and agencies.
  • Certification in BLS; ACLS, ATLS, and PALS encouraged.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and federal policies on medical records.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated good work record, attendance, and team collaboration.
  • Proficient language skills for effective communication.
  • Ability to interpret medical and work-related documents.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and diverse needs.
  • Physical ability to meet medical office demands.

Physical Demands:

  • Job tasks include driving, sitting, standing, walking, handling paperwork, operating computers, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
  • Work is mainly in an outpatient clinic but may include locations outside the office.
