Private practice seeks another Radiologist. The
group covers an 85 bed community hospital, a beautiful 20,000 square
foot outpatient diagnostic center, Women’s imaging center and a growing Vein
Clinic which provided outpatient setting for treating venous reflux
disease. The hospital’s on-going ($25m) expansion/renovation of the
hospital’s Radiology and Emergency Departments is predicting significant
increased volumes. Daily volume per rad is 80 studies per day.
Candidates can
be fellowship trained but must be proficient in
all/most modalities including light IR and mammo.
Volume is an average of 40 CT scans, 16 MRIs on each week day and half of that
on the weekends. Minor procedures during the week 3-6 per day at the
hospital and 1-4/day at the outpatient imaging building on campus. It’s
common to have 1-2 minor procedures on Saturdays, rare to have procedures on
Sundays and essentially never after hours. Occasional Neph tubes and
Ureteral stents which the current Rads are happy to cover if you don’t
do. They could use an IR as long as you do diagnostics and would like to
build the IR service. Receive a base salary plus bonuses - estimated total
compensation is 471k between bi weekly base salary, monthly bonus dividend and
max. contributions into pension/profit sharing plans, 145 days (21 weeks) off,
2m/4m occurrence malpractice. No buy-in partnership (S-corp) after 1st year. Very
pretty surrounding area close to Tahoe, forest/lakes, skiing etc. Located
about 2 hours to the Bay and about 1 hour from Sacramento.
