MAJOR DUTIES - Provide expertise in Behavioral Health, Psychosocial and Crisis Intervention for Individuals seeking treatment and care in an emergency room setting. - Develop individualized treatment plans for each case based on psychiatric, cognitive, psychosocial, environmental, and medical needs. - Utilize social work systems, theories, and principles that impact patient care. - Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses to include a history of trauma, physical abuse, neglect, exploitation, co-occurring conditions, and suicide. - Select, administer, and interpret instruments for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis and assessment of treatment plans with behavioral/psychiatric disorders. - Collect bio-psycho-social information about patients using interviewing, case history, observation, and various assessment methods. - This position has a requirement to lift up to 35 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
