For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (Permanent residence must be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility)

Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $67.00 Per Hour

Estimated Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2,680.00 Per Week

Taxable Hourly Rate: $30.00 Per Hour

Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,480.00 Per Week ($37.00 Per Hour Equivalent)

1099 Hourly Pay Rate: $70.00 Per Hour

Weekly 1099 Pay Rate: $2,800.00 Per Week

For Local Candidates (Within 50 Miles)

Hourly Pay Rate: $58.00 - $62.00 Per Hour

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) to join a dedicated behavioral health team in Concord, Massachusetts. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute mental health conditions within an inpatient psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment skills, crisis intervention experience, and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

' Perform comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessments of patients upon admission and throughout treatment.

' Monitor patient behavior, mental status, emotional well-being, and response to treatment plans.

' Administer prescribed medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.

' Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for patients experiencing behavioral health emergencies.

' Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, social workers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.

' Maintain a safe therapeutic environment by observing patients and implementing appropriate safety precautions.

' Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

' Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record system.

' Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.

' Ensure compliance with facility policies, patient rights, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.

' Support patient recovery by promoting therapeutic communication and positive coping strategies.

Requirements

' Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

' Minimum of 2 years of recent Psychiatric Nursing experience required.

' Acute Care experience required.

' Previous Travel Nursing experience required.

' Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.

' Current CPI Blue Certification required.

' Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, behavioral health interventions, and crisis management techniques.

' Experience administering psychotropic medications and monitoring patient responses.

' Ability to effectively manage challenging patient behaviors in a safe and professional manner.

' Excellent communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.

' Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules as required.

' Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility address to qualify for traveler/stipend benefits.

Preferred Qualifications

' Experience working in inpatient psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health facilities.

' Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and psychiatric documentation standards.

' Experience caring for adult, adolescent, or geriatric psychiatric patient populations.

' Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and therapeutic communication techniques.
