Job Description

A healthcare network in New York City is looking to add a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to their Outpatient team at one of their federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to collect information about their medical history, current health status, and vital signs
• Evaluate physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs to develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring correct dosages and routes of administration
• Monitor patients for medication side effects and adverse reactions
• Provide hands-on patient care, including tasks such as wound dressing changes, IV placement, catheterization, and monitoring of medical equipment
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
• Provide guidance on medication management, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient assessments, care plans, and medication administration records
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
