- Provide highly specialized nursing care to patients, including critically ill patients. - - Formulate complex plans to meet patient care needs and to continually revise goals and/or objectives, according to changes in patient status. - - Respond decisively to life-threatening changes in patient's condition. - - Administer medications to patients as directed. - - Assist with complex nursing and diagnostic procedures and/or be responsible for advanced cardiac life support efforts until a physician arrives. - - Operate and/or monitor the performance of sophisticated equipment, used in the care of critically ill patients. - - Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. - - Float to other critical care units when needed and orient to Charge Nurse and Rapid Response Team Nurse. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Performs other duties as assigned.
